Claiming your profile, step by step

What happens after you press claim, how we verify that the brewery is yours, and what you can put on the page once it is.

Every brewery in the directory has a claim button. Here is what is behind it, in plain terms, including the parts that are not built yet.

One: find your entry

Search the directory by name or town. If your brewery is not there, that is a gap in our data rather than a judgement about your beer, and there is a form for telling us so. Breweries added that way are checked and listed the same as any other.

Two: press claim

You give us your name, your role at the brewery and an email address at the brewery's own domain if you have one. Nothing changes on the public page yet.

Three: we check that it is yours

An email to an address on the brewery's domain settles most cases on its own. Where there is no such address, a message from the brewery's own social account or a note on the brewery's website pointing at the claim does the same job. This step exists so that nobody can take over a brewery that is not theirs, and it will stay deliberately awkward for that reason.

Four: the page becomes yours

The unclaimed marker comes off and the page opens up: your beers with their styles and strengths, taproom address and opening hours, events, photographs, your story, and links to your webshop and social accounts. Everything you publish is yours and you can take it down whenever you like.

What it costs

Claiming is free and the directory entry stays free forever. Running a full public presence is a paid plan, and the brewery software that keeps that page up to date from your own production data is a separate one. The plain listing never sits behind a payment.

What is not built yet

Honestly: most of it. Right now the directory is live and the claim flow is being built. This page is here so that when a brewer asks what happens after they press the button, there is a straight answer rather than a sales pitch.
